We appreciate all the questions the CCBBI community raised at the Town Hall last month. For those unable to attend the event, we provide the questions and answers below.
Q: Can we use the CCBBI Parking spaces for non-MRI study visits?
A: Yes, priority will always be for participants getting MRI scanned first, then TMS study participants, and then any non-CCBBI study visits. Parking in those spaces requires a pass so please connect with us via email (ccbbi.service@osu.edu) to reserve the space and retrieve the pass.
Q: Can we have more announcements/information about CCBBI publications/grants?
A: Yes, we try our best to promote all CCBBI-related research achievements on our website and in our newsletter. Please email your news/announcement to ccbbi.service@osu.edu. We have also added a “Submit a news item” button to the bottom of the newsletter for your convenience.
Q: Do we keep track of CCBBI-associated alumni?
A: We have not kept track of CCBBI alumni. We appreciate the suggestion and we will add an alumni spotlight feature to the newsletter. Please help us get this started by emailing us with updates about your trainees.
Q: Can we schedule the fall safety training so that undergraduates can attend more easily?
A: We will maintain holding the primary safety training as the Friday before classes as we want to prioritize faculty, staff, and graduate student attendance. Anyone unable to attend the safety training at that day/time can reach out (ccbbi.service@osu.edu) to get training as needed.
Q: Can we improve transparency for award reviewing/selection?
A: Yes, for student awards, the PI and/or anyone that wrote a letter of recommendation for a specific applicant recuses themself from evaluating that application. In future application calls we will provide criteria for how applications will be evaluated/rewardees selected.
Q: Can we know in advance who is going to be running the MRI scan?
A: If you are working with a special population and have any concerns, please reach out to ccbbi.service@osu.edu in advance of your scan session.
