Program Highlights

Python is a computer language with uses that extend far beyond neuroimaging. It is one of the most widely used languages, with uses ranging from data analysis, application creation, and it even serves as the foundation for a number of interactive social media websites. If you have never learned a computer language before, Python is a great place to start!

The following topics will be covered in the course through a number of engaging tutorials, assignments, and demos:

• Python dictionaries

• Lists

• Functions

• fMRI Data visualization

• Using Jupyter and Nilearn

CODE is part of our Advancing Diversity in NeuroImaging Research initiative. This initiative seeks to expand the voices that are currently in the field of neuroimaging. We would like for everyone to feel welcome in neuroimaging, and we want to spend a portion of this course exploring the ways that we can all help make this a reality. 

Have you ever wondered, "what is business casual," or felt a bit unsure about workplace expectations? We know that we have, and part of this course will focus on some of the "unwritten rules" of engaging in the workplace. By the end of this course, you will feel more confident about how to interact as a professional in the workforce.
