Hours of Operation
The TMS system is available for use Monday through Friday, from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM.
Evening and weekend use is not permitted for now. Please plan your sessions accordingly and ensure that both study personnel and participants are informed of these limitations.
Calendar System and Access
All approved TMS studies at CCBBI must reserve time in the TMS testing room through the designated scheduling system. Once a study has received both IRB and CCBBI approval, the investigator may request access to the scheduling calendar. Calendar time should only be reserved after a participant has completed the screening process and has been cleared of any contraindications to TMS.
To reserve the TMS testing room:
- Visit the scheduling calendar:
🔗 https://go.osu.edu/CCBBITMSCalendar - Create a calendar event for your study session.
- Add ASC-PSYCCBBI@osu.edu as an attendee to formally reserve the session.
- In the “Subject” line of the calendar entry, include Principal Investigator’s last name and the study name abbreviation.
- In the “Body” of the calendar entry, include the RedCap ID for the participant to confirm that the screening has been completed.
This process ensures that CCBBI staff can track and manage usage of the TMS facility.
Room Use Policy and Priority
The MagVenture TMS system and TMS testing room are shared resources maintained by CCBBI and available to CCBBI Fellows and Affiliates.
- The system operates on a first-come, first-served basis for all CCBBI Fellows and Affiliates.
- Reservations should be made only for studies that are fully approved and ready to begin.
- Users are expected to cancel reservations promptly if the session will not occur.
- Repeated cancellations or no-shows may result in restricted access to the facility.
- To ensure equitable access, each study is limited to 8 hours of TMS room reservations per week.
Requests to exceed this limit must be submitted in writing to the CCBBI Assistant Director for consideration. Requests should include justification for additional time and a brief description of scheduling needs.
Additional Guidelines
