The talk will first introduce large scale organizational architecture in the human brain and discuss how recent MRI studies have been used to uncover these principles. I will then present some of my own work using MRI to investigate common organizational architectures in human subcortical regions, including the thalamus and cerebellum.

Dr. Xingyu Liu is a postdoctoral scholar in Dr. Michael Arcarco's lab at the University of Pennsylvania. The CCBBI Student Group invited Dr. Liu to present her work as part of the Student Workshop series.
