Meet CCBBI's New Postdoctoral Scholar

Harrah Newman

CCBBI is pleased to welcome postdoctoral scholar Dr. Harrah Newman to the CCBBI team. Dr. Newman earned her PhD in Biomedical Engineering with Dr. Dawn Elliott at the University of Delaware. Her research focused on advanced MRI techniques to evaluate spinal function and intervertebral disc health, with particular interest in understanding the effects of aging and degeneration on the lumbar spine. She also has extensive experience in regulatory research management, including the development and maintenance of IRB and IACUC protocols for human and animal studies. Her interdisciplinary collaborations have spanned clinical, engineering, rehabilitation, and veterinary medicine to advance MRI-based, biomechanical, and computational investigations of spine health and disease.

I am most excited to be working with an incredible team, gaining brain MRI experience, and exploring research directions that combine CCBBI’s strengths and my prior biomechanical expertise.

We are thrilled to have her on board.
