Thank you to everyone who joined us at the Town Hall. CCBBI Director Dr. Ruchika Prakash and members of the CCBBI community provided updates about the previous year's accomplishments and upcoming events. Some highlights from the Town Hall are summarized below.
New at CCBBI
- Two TMS (Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation) studies have been approved to begin at CCBBI.
- A Data Analysis Core is being established to support imaging data processing.
Funding at CCBBI
The center is proud to provide multiple funding opportunities to support the CCBBI community.
- The newly launched CCBBI Postdoctoral Fellowship Program welcomes its first cohort in October: Dr. Xuan Yang and Dr. Li Yang.
- The CCBBI Graduate Student Research Excellence Award provided summer support for 7 students.
- The CCBBI Travel Award helped 10 CCBBI members attend and present their research at the international Organization for Human Brain Mapping meeting in Bordeaux, France, this summer.
Meet CCBBI’s Staff Scientist
CCBBI is excited to welcome Dr. Harrah Newman. Dr. Newman earned her Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering with Dr. Dawn Elliott at the University of Delaware and has extensive MRI experience, studying spinal function and intervertebral disc health, with a focus on how aging and degeneration affect the lumbar spine.
