Ohio State is in the process of revising websites and program materials to accurately reflect compliance with the law. While this work occurs, language referencing protected class status or other activities prohibited by Ohio Senate Bill 1 may still appear in some places. However, all programs and activities are being administered in compliance with federal and state law.

I am broadly interested in classification and transdiagnostic processes, with a focus on integrating basic and clinical research on biobehavioral mechanisms underlying reward responsiveness and emotion dysregulation into the development of evidence-based treatments for mood, anxiety, and trauma-related disorders. I am particularly interested in understanding the predictive role of neural and behavioral responsiveness to reward on clinical outcomes in MDD and PTSD, as well as mechanisms of change in behavioral treatments (e.g., ACT, behavioral activation). My dissertation project will examine the role of neural and behavioral responsiveness to reward in the trajectory of MDD and PTSD symptoms over a 12-month period following exposure to a traumatic event.
